How do I get my site listed?
We select the majority of our listings from sites that have been suggested to us by our visitors.
To suggest a site to Qango, start by selecting the most appropriate category for the site you want to suggest.
From the homepage click on a main category, one that you feel will be appropriate. You will see more category choices on the next page. Select one that is appropriate and continue selecting categories until you arrive at one that is most suited to your site.
Alternatively, you can use the search tool on the homepage to search for categories that match key words.
Once you've found a suitable category, click the 'Suggest a site' link at the bottom of the page and read the notes we have provided to guide you through our site suggestion process. You may also benefit from reading the following advice.
If you cannot find an appropriate category for your website, simply select the most appropriate one from the choices available. If we need to add a new category to cover the subject of your site we will add one at the time of review.
Notes for Personal Homepages
If the website you wish to suggest is hosted on a free web space account or resides in a sub-folder of someone else's web space, we consider it a 'personal' page (regardless of its intended use or audience).
Personal pages often start out as projects and many of them go on to become valuable and interesting resources, but in our experience a great many personal pages become neglected and/or move to new hosts on a regular basis for a wide variety of reasons.
Whilst we are happy to list personal pages, we require a certain level of quality before considering such sites for a listing and if you have just started your site we would advise you to wait a while before suggesting it to Qango to give you time to develop your ideas, and your site content.
